Calcutta, 1879. British “unified” territory. Niru has a seemingly perfect life with her British husband Tom Helmer, until the cracks start to show. Tanika Gupta’s adaptation of A Doll’s House pertinently retells Ibsen’s classic with a female eye on Imperialism and its insidious nature.
