A multimedia experience proposed by Lily Haje and Madeline Pages
Love Songs is a website as a work of art and a collaborative multimedia performance experience. It is a 34-part response to the 34-part poem “Songs to Joannes” by Mina Loy. Individual artists and creative teams from different disciplinary backgrounds are each responding to a different section of the poem in the medium of their choice, including video, music, sculpture, live performance, and VR. What you will see this weekend is the first eight sections of the work, with the rest coming in installments throughout this school year. And if you enjoy the experience, we hope you’ll consider joining us for future iterations of the project coming in 2021.
Love Songs is a website and a performance and a way of communicating and collaborating while we are apart. It is the impact of lighted bodies knocking sparks off each other in chaos. It is a green-lit glow worm. It is uninterpretable cryptonyms. It is insolent isolation. It is NOTHING. It is something shiny something only for you.
